[[Disappointment..]]

Had this customer today.. looking for a USB adapter for his iPod to connect to his speakers which only accept a USB audio in.. I saw such a product b4.. so I took it for him.. however, no one knew for sure if the speaker could receive any audio input this way.. the USB connection was originally intended for data transfer only.. but the product couldn't be tested as it was sealed.. hmm.. There wasn't anything I could do, but I assured the guy that if he bought it, which is the only way he could open it, I would try out the adapter for him till I can give him a satisfactory answer whether or not audio output was possible.. Still I told him that ultimately, the decision lies with him, whether or not he wants to take this gamble.. it doesn't mean anything for me to just want the sales and get an unhappy customer in return.. And so the customer agreed to take the gamble..

However.. after he purchased it... and opened it... we realised that the "standdard USB" which was stated on the box wasn't exactly the standart part A USB connection that is commonly adopted by electrical devices.. On the contary, it was the squareish part B USB that is normally used to connect to printers.. Even computers don't have this kind of USB ports.. You need another converter for it.. I was quite appalled and disappointed with what I saw.. This was obviously a design flaw.. USB part A should have been the obvious choice. I don't know why I was quite disappointed with myself too.. I feel as if I had failed the customer and myself.. And to add to the confusion, this other salesger kept adding unnescessary comments which only served to make the situation even more complicated.. She kept agreeing wrongly with the customer that the USB part B is a firewire.. and when I said that the USB may support audio outout.. she kept insisting that it's only for data transfer... No one can say for sure about that it can't work!!!

AHH!!! so idiotic.. when you don't know anything.. just shut the fuck up.... Don't add oil to fire on which oil has already been added on.. it makes matters worse only.. haizz

Anyway, I told the guy that I will be at iSHop for the rest of the week... if he gets the convertor, he can bring back the thing, and I can help him try it..

Shit..

sorry man

i was here @
